Designed to mount on broadcast and prosumer cameras that supply phantom power, the Azden SGM-PII is a shotgun microphone terminated with a balanced XLR output connector. It features a supercardioid polar pattern and low-noise circuitry, and is ideal for capturing focused audio in various indoor or outdoor environments for film, broadcast TV, and other video applications.

The SGM-PII runs on 11 to 52 VDC phantom power for reliable battery-free operation with a range of recording devices. It delivers an 80 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response and handles high-level sound sources up to 120 dB, making it ideal for miking speech and sound effects at close range.

Handcrafted in Japan, the mic ships with a vibration-inhibiting shoe shockmount, a flocked-foam windscreen that attenuates light wind noise, and a zippered carry case that simplifies storage and transport.
